Travis Snider owned the Midwest League (Low A) playing with the Lansing Lugnuts in 2007. The right fielder hasn’t enjoyed the same success with the Eastner League’s New Hampshire Fisher Cats to date.

Snider compiled a .901 OPS through 451 ABs as a Lugnut in 2007. Baseball America named him a minor league all-star following the season. Snider followed the regular season with a stint in the Arizona Fall League that earned him All-Prospect Team and Rising Star honors.
Snider started 2008 with a .891 OPS through 61 ABs with the Dunedine Blue Jays (FSL, High A). Although he struck out 22 times and walked only five, the Toronto organization decided to promote him to New Hampshire on April 21. Through 14 ABs with the Fisher Cats, Snider has struck out eight times.
Of course, 14 ABs is a very small size and Snider has been a streaky hitter in the past. So, Snider is a Baysox opponent to watch as Baysox visit the Fisher Cats from April 24 to 27.
Update: Snider broke his bat over his knee, Bo Jackson style, after striking out against Brad Bergesen in the sixth inning on Friday, April 25.
Update II: Snider had one hit and ten strikeouts in 14 at bats against the Baysox from April 24 to 27.
