The Bowie Baysox Blog is the very unofficial home of one Baysox fan’s thoughts and guesses about the pride of Prince George’s County.
Please tell me what you like, what you don’t, and what else you’d like to see in the form below.
If you do like what you see here, check out my other work at Baseball Digest Daily and Heater Magazine.
Thanks,

Paul,
Very cool blog.

Just found the blog… about time Baysox Fans had some NEWS and info… the ‘official’ website is a joke. They removed the message boards because they were true?!
On other notes… what’s with all the ‘filler’ on the 2009 roster??? Valido, Krynzel, Torrealba… team is So old this year we better jump out to a big lead by the all star break before they all break down.
Thanks for stopping by.
I think the Baysox do a good job with the Web site relative to other minor league clubs, but don’t remember the message boards myself. I do know that the site gets *plenty* of traffic.
Also, I think the proportion of “organizational” players is about the same as it is for most teams in the Eastern League and past Baysox squads. You can’t have players like Matt Wieters on your Double-A team every year. So, the offense doesn’t stack up particularly well with teams like Akron, but the pitching – especially the rotation – should be stellar.
Hey Paul,
I’ve got 2 Richmond Flying Squirrels sites to suggest for your Eastern League Rundown on your site links:
RVA News – Flying Squirrels
http://rvanews.com/poop
Nutcap
http://nutcap.org/
Also – I try to get a set of photos from at least 1 game of every home stand. Whenever Bowie is in Richmond, you can grab photos from http://www.flickr.com/photos/murden/sets/72157623866711976/ if you’d like to, as long as you give me credit.
Thanks, John. Sorry I’m so late to reply. I’ll add the links.
